Looks Like There's a New Satoshi in Town
To this day, no one can be sure if Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto is an individual or a group. Satoshi Nakamoto's last confirmed message was posted on BitcoinTalk on December 2012. Many believe that the email associated with him & his P2P Foundation profile have been compromised.
Since Satoshi Nakamoto's disappearance there have been a few that have declared themselves to be the creator of Bitcoin. This includes Craig Wright the figurehead behind BSV, and former British NHS worker James Bilal Khalid Caan.
Introducing A New Challenger for the Title of Satoshi Nakamoto
A new individual known as Jorg Molt or Joerg Molt has been attending Bitcoin conferences and making bold claims. He's been apparently making the rounds at various cryptocurrency conferences while claiming to be a co-founder of Bitcoin.
By being a Bitcoin co-founder, he is essentially claiming to be part of a group that is Satoshi Nakamoto.
In addition to this, he has been displaying selfies with well known influencers in the cryptocurrency world. He has allegedly been using these selfies to promote his claim without permission. Molt also openly claims to own over 250,000 BTC.
Apparently, a German person called "Jorg Molt" has been showing a selfie taken with me and telling people that we are friendsâ Andreas â® ð â â ð ð¡ ð ð¹ ð ð© (@aantonop) November 3, 2019
This is a LIE. I don't know him at all.
I have heard from others that he claims to be the founder of Bitcoin and has thousands of BTC. A LIE. pic.twitter.com/Bh97AZfvS5
Jorg Molt apparently has been using his claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto for financial gains and possibly to promote his books and websites. Currently, many openly mock his claim on Twitter.
In Jorg Molt's Twitter page, he offers 1 BTC to any new follower that retweets his account. A move to possibly catapult him to figurehead status. In addition to this he takes a swipe at Craig Wright, the best known self-declared Satoshi Nakamoto.
I'm Joerg Molt. I co-founded Bitcoin.â Joerg Moltâ¡ï¸ð®â£ï¸ (@joergmolt) November 3, 2019
Craig Wright is not the inventor of Bitcoin. I know well who Satoshi Nakamoto real identities are.
Also, I have 250,000 BTC, and I will give 1 BTC to a random follower who retweet this tweet.
RT and follow for a chance to win 1 BTC.
Should Craig Wright choose to respond in his typical fashion, things could be interesting. Wright has been known for his various libel lawsuits at critics.
